Provide engineering support for FAA's Surface Surveillance Systems: ASDE-X, RWSL and ASSC. These systems are located at the largest airports throughout the U.S.
Responsible for analyzing, trouble shooting, optimizing and repairing surface RADAR systems. Travel to sites to provide hands on support will be required.
Create and refine team processes and system modification instructions
Assist with integration, regression and system testing
Attend weekly team meetings, document weekly activity and prepare reports to present to peers and management

US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Computer Engineering; degree MUST be from an ABET accredited university
Two (2) plus years of engineering related experience related to RF hardware such as transmitters, exciters, antennas, multi-channel receivers, etc.
Candidate must have excellent math skills and/or possess and show good fundamentals in electromagnetics, signals and systems, digital signal processing, and controls.
Proficient using UNIX or Linux operating systems
Programming skills related to scripting, C, JAVA or GO are desired
Strong communication skills to explain and document problems and propose solutions to management and technicians
Experience creating, refining and adhering to documented processes
Ability and willing to travel up to 10 business days per month
Effectively work in a team environment
Ability to pass an FAA background investigation (US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required)
