Position : Configuration Management Engineer, LeadLocation : Oklahoma City, OKASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer, Lead to support efforts regarding software and hardware Configuration Management and identifying system modification and process dependencies. The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Surface Surveillance Systems Support Team (AJW-148) provides engineering support for Airport Surface Detection Equipment (ASDE-3 and ASDE-X), Runway Status Lights (RWSL) and Airport Surface Surveillance Capability (ASSC) systems. These systems are located at the largest airports in the nation.

Assure AJW-148 CM policy and procedures align with FAA CM policy. E

Ensure configuration efforts are documented, reliable, traceable and repeatable.

Lead efforts to establish software and hardware configuration baselines for testing

Identify and track existing system configurations

Conduct hardware and software configuration audits.

Support Configuration Item (CI) change proposals by scheduling and leading Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings.

Schedule system audits and provide system configuration documentation and reports.

Degree in Electrical/Electronics orComputer Engineering; an engineering degree is required

Five (5) years of Configuration Management experience that includes software, hardware and documentation

Five (5) years of experience reading and writing Technical Documentation

Three (3) years of l eadership/project management experience related to CM and/or software and hardware modifications

Ability to work in a team environment with multiple technologies and user groups

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

Experience working with version control software such as GIT

Experience identifying, implementing and using CM software tools

Use of databases for CM, auditing and reporting

Ability to understand software design/requirements documentation and hardware schematics

Ability to pass an FAA background investigation/clearance which requires US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
