Program DescriptionA leader in the exciting and growing field of High Performance Computing (HPC) is searching for a Info Assurance/Security Specialist to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) located at the Air Force Research Center (AFRL) Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The successful candidate will support the Senior DSRC local Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) responsible for the delivery, management and continuous process improvement of operational security information systems by providing Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) engineering and analysis. Specific Responsibilities:- Supporting the ISSO reviewing, preparing, and updating Approval to Operate (ATO) packages in accordance with RMF in eMASS.
- Collect security incident information for review by the ISSO.
- Support various technical reviews and inspection teams.
- Assist in delivering and monitoring compliance with IS security training.
- Coordinate, prepare, and track IS inspections, reports, and responses.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the System Security Plan (SSP)
- Ensuring that all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, and need-to-know.
- Support vulnerability scanning, resolution, mitigation and documentation via POA&Ms.
- Promoting awareness of security issues among management and team.
- Assist the team with developing technical briefings, reports, articles, and presentations
- High School diploma and 7 years or more experience; OR Bachelors and 3 years or more experience; OR Masters and 1 year or more experience
- Must have an active/current Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers, management personnel, and team members, including documentation and writing skills. Must have an ability to present simple, easily understood solutions to executive leadership and customers where complex technical problems exist
- DoD Information Assurance, DoD 8510.01 and RMF
- Experience using eMASS, POA&Ms, HBSS, Nessus, Tanium and ACAS
- Windows System Administration background is desirable
- IAM Level I or IAT Level II certification - CISSP
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Nessus, SCAP Compliance Checker, STIGs, hardening systems and applying IA controls
