Email Me Similar JobsEmail Me This JobGoodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is currently seeking a Donation Center Attendant to attend a donation center located inUniversity Heights, OH.The ADC Attendant will be responsible for greeting people, thanking them, and issuing tax receipts for merchandise donated as well as driving the truck to and from the site as needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Opens ADC each day and keeps regular schedule. Secures ADC at end of each day.
Notifies supervisor of any absences; be sure ADC is not left unattended.
Keeps surroundings of ADC neat and clean. Adheres to all safety practices, procedures and policies.
Notifies supervisor of any large items donated that cannot be stored in ADC for truck pickup and reports any malfunctions to the supervisor.
Pre-sorts donated merchandise into categoriestextiles, shoes, purses, paper, wares, electrical and mechanical, books, miscellaneous.
Use courtesy and tact in dealing with people.
Drives box truck to locations as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must have a valid driver license and insurance.
Comfortable with driving a box truck.
Required to wear uniform, which includes identification tag.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position including but not limited to: frequent standing, sitting, walking, stair climbing, reaching, stooping/bending, handling/fingering; frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Work outside in winter conditions and sit in heated office in trailer.
This is a part-time position. A Background check will be performed.
