Burgess Drilling is looking for a Water Well Driller. Job description: Will set up & operate a portable drilling rig to drill water wells locally. Will extend stabilizing jacks to support and level drill rig. Controls power driven wench that raises and extends telescoping derrick, assemble drilling tools, control raising and lowering of drill tools and well casing into well bore. Will adjust stroke/impact of cable tool drilling machine or changes drill bits of rotary drilling machine according to nature of strata encountered. Will replace drill bit with tool to collect samples of earth or rock being penetrated, and will record drilling progress and geological data. May retrieve lost equipment from bore holes, using fishing tools and equipment. May repair drill bits and equipment if needed.
This is a full-time position Monday thru Friday 1st shift, 40 to 55 hours per week.
Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma and be able to lift up to 75 lbs. consistently. Must have a valid drivers license with a positive driving record. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, and extensive push/pull and frequent stooping required.
Experience preferred.
