Pomeroy is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Developer in the Toledo, OH area for a full-time permanent role.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Use Power BI and BusinessObjects to create reports and dashboards
- Gather requirements from key stakeholders and recommend solutions
- Perform itemization, analysis, and documentation of existing data sources used by, and available to, the department
- Document the source, content, connection methods, and description of business value of data sources
- Document business data use cases and identify data quality needs
- Create a global data model using Power BI shared datasets
- Combine data sets from multiple systems to create a global view of data
- Coordinate and conduct meetings such as: user interviews of business process reviews
- Establish enterprise standards for PowerBI and BusinessObjects reports and dashboards
- Provide hands on training and mentoring across the business to drive self-service analytic capabilities
- Maintain and support PowerBI and BusinessObjects environments, upgrades, user administration, security, etc.
- Manage ServiceNow support queue to ensure timely resolution of support incidents
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Related Field or equivalent job experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence Reporting, Software Development, or Database Administration
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business process improvement, Business Intelligence, Software Development or related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, including loading data using dataflows and custom visualizations
- Proficiency with SQL and database technologies
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience with SAP ECC, SAP HANA and Azure Data Lake preferred
- Able to effectively interface with other disciplines in the organization to achieve result
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time as needed with the ability to work non-traditional business hours
