Job Purpose:Supports patients/residents by monitoring patients/residents condition; providing housekeeping and personal services; recording condition and care information; maintaining safe, secure, and healthy environment.Duties: Monitors patients/residents condition by observing physical and mental condition. Provides housekeeping services by cleaning rooms; changing linens and towels. Provides personal services by bathing, dressing, and grooming patients/residents; teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene. Helps family members assist patients/residents by teaching support skills and techniques. Records patients/residents information by making entries in records; notifying supervisor of changing or unusual conditions. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations; maintaining security precautions. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
