Associate Research Software Engineer

The primary purpose of this position is to be a leading contributor on a software development team. The Associate Research Software Engineer will work with junior team members and provide technical guidance to them. Primary responsibilities include all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements design, development, integration, and testing. This position requires the person to interface and communicate with the client(s) in a professional manner, as well as assist junior team members with their job duties.Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering - OR - 3 years relevant experience in software development Experience with Agile SCRUM software development process and tools, such as JIRA, Gitlab EE, Azure DevOps, etc. Experience with source code management practices and tools, such as BitBucket, Github, GitlabDue to the nature of the position, U.S Citizenship required Ability to obtain a clearancePreferred Qualifications: Experience with continuous integration build platforms such as Jenkins Experience with database design concepts and implementation, including relational, NOSQL, graph databases, etc. Experience writing APIs and Services, including documentation and testing tools Demonstrated verbal communication skills Demonstrated or documented experience working on a team as a contributor Secret Clearance or higherInformed by its Catholic and Marianist mission, the University is committed to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
