They will help to ensure a safe working environment by performing post-offer medical screenings, evaluating and treating work-related injuries and illnesses, and providing monitoring and surveillance exams and testing as needed to protect the employees and hospital. Additional duties include providing case management services, involvement in infection prevention and safety committees, and participation in a variety of levels of employee education and wellness activities. Required to take rotational on-call to provide Employee Health issue resolution during non-business hours.Weighting %Physical Assessments

50Coordinates, performs, and documents post-offer, surveillance, return to work, work capacity, volunteer, and fitness for duty exams as needed.

Administers and follows up on immunization status and surveillance requirements.

Communicates work restrictions or limitations of employees to managers/directors, leave management, and employee engagement departments

Reviews transfer notices to assure employee meets all requirements for new position

Performs non-DOT urine drug screens

Completes and reviews tuberculosis and OSHA respiratory protection questionnaires for accuracy.

Injury Care

20Triages and provides first-aid as needed

Provides medical treatment for work-related injuries at the direction of the contracted healthcare provider/medical director

Is knowledgable about the worker's compensation process and ensures that employee completes appropriate paperwork .

Coordinates blood and body fluid exposure care and any needed follow-up care and routine testing.

Organizational, Oral, and Documentation Skills

20Defines and accomplishes daily workload in an organized fashion and within deadlines.

Maintains an inventory of related medical supplies, vaccines, and medications.

Assists with updating department protocols & documents when needed.

Demonstrates appropriate and timely follow-through on tasks and appropriately prioritizes them.

Is knowledgeable of regulatory standards and assists with the development policies and procedures as needed.

Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Access)

Speaks clearly to individuals or groups.

Proficient in typing and basic office skills i.e., answering phones, writing letters & Emails

Wellness Education

10Participates in the development and institution of various health and wellbeing programs

Educates employees on available wellness programs.
