Accounts Payable Clerk

Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable team at Winsupply uses a highly-automated optical character recognition (OCR) system to process approximately 3000 invoices daily. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the rapid and accurate review and capture of keywords from invoices, statements and credit memos that were sent through the OCR system. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will adhere to established company policies, department procedures and guidelines to index hundreds of documents per day with minimal to no errors.
Your Responsibilities:
Review captured data on invoices, statements and credits for accuracy
Enter missing data on invoices, statements and credits without error
Gain familiarity with high-volume vendors and invoice templates
Become an expert on Winsupplys company structure for correct payer identification
Recognize when to use the departments existing tools for vendor lookup
Suggest improvements to processes when warranted
Requirements:
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating environment and applications
Super speedy typing skills (65+ WPM)
Associate degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience in AP is preferred
