Primary Purpose: Responsible for the leadership, management, supervision, and 24 hour accountability of the Social Work Department to provide quality, patient centered social work services. Coordinate all resources and activities necessary for patient throughput, progression, and disposition. Identify and address through the escalation process any internal or external barriers that prevent and/or interfere with the delivery of quality services. Offer support and feedback to staff to maintain professional practice. Knowledge and Skills:Education: Master of Social Work degree from an accredited School of Social Work Years Experience: 3 years clinical supervisory experience in Social WorkRequired Skills and Knowledge: The Social Work Manager is a Licensed Independent Social Worker knowledgeable in methods of clinical supervision; casework principles, including assessment and discharge planning; skilled in diagnosis, crisis intervention, grief and bereavement counseling. Awareness of community resources including public assistance systems, Medicare/Medicaid and managed care plans. Manager must be effective in utilizing resources and materials; preparing and monitoring operational budgets; maintaining sound organizational relationships; demonstrate progressive responsibilities in personnel management; provide evidence of continued growth and leadership development; and accept professional and ethical standards within professional organizations.Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Independent Social Worker by the State of Ohio Social Work Board (LISW) Certification required; LISW-S preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer.and.ndash;minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
