Role Summary:Special Pack, Inc is a GE wholly owned subsidiary This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on the plant floor while increasing production and revenue. You will oversee daily operating reports and increase production by providing leadership and developing strategic plans. You should be a strong leader with an analytical mind and excellent interpersonal communication skills.Essential Responsibilities:You will have the opportunity to define both current and long-term objectives for safety, service, quality, and people by deploying resources effectively.
Responsible for meeting all established safety, cost, quality, regulatory, and delivery commitments.
Provides proactive and responsive employee relations for employees and work with HR teams to provide appropriate technical and leadership training and career development.
Aligns closely and strategically with suppliers to improve quality, drive deflation and reduce supply chain risk.
Develops and implements plans to ensure successful attainment of schedule commitments.
Analyzes production labor requirements. Implements appropriate capacity decisions within budget.
Instructs, guides and provide personnel support to front line supervisors and office personnel, including career development and managerial training.
Drives change via key initiatives including EHS, shop productivity, lean, and inventory cycle reductions.
Provides leadership in problem resolution, resource utilization, and daily operations.
Assists in budgeting and forecasting for production planning and standard review.
Works closely with EHS.
Trains and mentors the TEAM: Site Leader must know and understand all jobs in the plant.
Follows up with all functions to ensure assignments are completed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in supply chain function.
3+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
5+ years’ experience using an enterprise resource planning tool (ERP).
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Prior experience developing and managing a diverse workforce.
