Job Description
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description The Shipping and Receiving Clerkis responsible for managing and maintaining all Incoming truck shipments. The Shipping and Receiving Clerkwill coordinate with our Purchasing Team to retrieve all necessary information from each vendor to schedule the truck shipments. He/She will make sure Truck orders are scheduled through the appropriate carriers by using our Third Party Software, or contacting our various T/L and LTL Account Representatives under supervision of the Receiving Supervisor. Additionally he/she will be managing the specific time of day the orders will be scheduled for carrier pick-up and drop off. This role will work cross-departmentally and maintain strong working relationships with Receiving Supervisor, Account Managers, Purchasing, Sales Members, and Fulfillment Specialists to coordinate the necessary details to ensure safe and timely transport of finished goods and materials to our facility. Natural Essentials, Inc DBA Bulk Apothecary is an online ecommerce site located in Aurora, OH. The required hours of work are Mon - Fri from appx 7:30am - 4:30pm. Duties and Responsibilities-
Creates Bill of Ladings for all incoming truck shipments using Freightview software or contacts LTL account reps to determine the most economical and efficient shipping method
- Responsible for emailing pick up information to each vendor with attached BOL

Double checks all counts on Inbound Freight to ensure inventory accuracy
- Make Inventory Adjustments within company systems to reflect incoming product

Responsible for assigning and entering all tracking number for incoming shipments onto spreadsheet
- Must keep all team members up to date with Accurate ETA’S

Keeps all records organized and easily accessible for Inbound Deliveries
- Communicates weekly progress of Inbound Shipments via graph/chart
- Trace’s all damaged or lost shipments, as well Schedules all returned shipments to ensure we get the proper claims filed
- Accountable for Training new Dock personnel, including but not limited to Material Handlers, and Warehouse or Fulfillment workers
- May operate pallet jack as well as tow motor
- Follows and enforces all company policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure the safety of the employees and department
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- A strong preference for computers; the ability to use multiple different types of computer systems as well as different types of software
- Strong written communication skills, primarily through email
- Ability to read and write and perform simple arithmetic
- Must have basic Math Knowledge
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Google Docs and Similar Software
- Ability to prepare necessary paperwork, as well as read, sort, and verify numbers and counts
- Ability to problem solve and or report problems to appropriate personnel
- Must have basic typing skills
- Knowledge of basic hazmat guidelines
- Work environment may involve exposure to extreme heat and/or cold, as well as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and loud noises in a warehouse or fulfillment environment
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- May be required to to lift up to 60lbs as well as stand or walk for lengthy periods of time
- Work environment involves minimal physical risks, such as working with machinery and/or chemicals
