Morrison-Maierle has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Director of Strategic Marketing. This individual will lead strategic marketing, lead generation, and branding initiatives, supporting Market Group Leaders and Client Service Managers in developing new clients and growing sales. The Director of Strategic Marketing will also support external and internal brand strategy and communications efforts. This is a senior-level position reporting to our Chief Client Services Officer, and serving as a member of the Senior Management Team.

Morrison-Maierle has offered a broad range of engineering, surveying, and scientific services for over 70 years throughout the Western United States from offices in Casper, Cody, Gillette, and Sheridan, Wyoming; Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell, and Missoula Montana; Spokane, Washington; and Phoenix, Arizona. Director of Strategic Marketing

Opportunity

This position assumes the corporate management responsibility to advise, analyze, and direct all strategic marketing and new lead generation activities of the firm with supervisory responsibility for staff assigned to Marketing Services. This position serves on the Senior Management Team and will be asked to serve on or lead other teams in fulfilling this role.

Specific responsibilities include:

Works closely with the Chief Client Services Officer in shaping a comprehensive business development strategy that effectively integrates marketing and sales.

Oversees the development and execution of inbound and outbound marketing efforts, including the production, distribution, and maintenance of valuable content and promotional materials.

Overall branding strategy development and execution to ensure Morrison-Maierle is recognized as the pre-eminent engineering firm in the west.

Leads the development of the annual company marketing plan, develops the annual corporate marketing budget, and is responsible for executing the marketing programs in relation to the plan and budget.

Oversees market research regarding market trends, client needs, client attitudes, and the status of the firm's competitors. This could include researching possible areas of firm growth and expansion, monitoring the capabilities of the firm's competitors, and tracking legislative or regulatory activities which could affect the need for services.

Develops standards and guidelines for marketing information. This could include formats for proposals, firm information, standard forms, resumes and preprinted materials. Performs periodic quality reviews of proposals and other written materials generated by technical staff to maintain a high quality of appearance and expression.

Provides quality management of promotional pieces and oversees the development and production of digital marketing materials (email blasts, firm information, website, social media, etc.).

Manages and coordinates public relations to promote a positive corporate image among the firm's clients, prospective clients and the general public.

Supervises the release of company information and advertising to the media and other client and private publications. Oversees the placement of articles on company activities and personnel.

Manages and coordinates company sponsored events that involve prospective or existing clients. Attends conferences, hosts seminars/webinars, community events and networking events. Works with the Chief Client Services Officer and Market Group Leaders to identify topics and target audiences for these events.

Oversees support of Client Service Managers and Project Managers in the planning, coordinating, writing, editing, preparation and production of qualifications, proposals, interviews, and cost and fee data.

Organizes and conducts marketing training as appropriate for Company staff.

Active in professional, civic and community affairs that will enhance the image of the company.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have experience in leading inbound marketing efforts that generate sales leads and support overall business development strategy. This person will also possess the strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary to serve others, lead change, and build collaborative teams.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. This individual should also have a minimum of 8-10 years professional experience in marketing or business development. Experience in working with a professional services organization is preferred, but not necessarily required.

This position requires regular travel to Morrison-Maierle offices and to select conferences/business development venues.

Location Any Morrison-Maierle office location will be considered.
