May use hazardous chemicals to transform them into propellants or use processing in the manufacture of aircraft parts and/or components. Duties could include; aqueous cleaning, chemical etching, chromate conversion coating, passivation and / or abrasive blasting.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for the chemical processing of detailed parts and final assemblies to current spec requirements.Be well informed about the disposal of Hazardous Waste.Be aware and informed of the Chemicals you work with throughout the day.Be knowledgeable of all pertinent customer/company specifications and international standards relating to standards, finishes, special processes, policies, processing, etc.Capable of processing acceptable parts and passing all required evaluations for some of the required processes.Proper documentation of the process of parts to meet customer requirementsBasic Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holderPreferred Qualifications:Basic to intermediate computer skills may be requiredDemonstrate a continued interest in good housekeeping and safety practices.Demonstrate an ability to effectively cooperate and communicate with co-workers and personnel in other departments.Capable of interpreting and understanding part drawings and illustrated planning.Must be able to following work instructions to ensure the proper processing of parts.Must be able properly wear and use Personal Protective Equipment relating to the job performed.Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
