Ellingson Companies is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Equipment Shop/Field Tech (Mechanic).
The purpose of this position is to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain company equipment. The Tech's duty is extended to our large array of equipment, which includes diesel and gasoline trucks, machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and construction equipment.
Along with these duties, basic maintenance is expected, such as: oil changes, greasing, etc. This position requires the ability to go on local job-site service calls on a weekly basis. In accordance with our line of business, flexible hours are also needed (coming in early, staying late, etc.).
The Tech should expect a fluctuation of hoursmore hours are worked during the spring and falls months. During the winter and summer months, the Tech will be expected to participate in a variety of duties around the shop.
Job Qualifications
Two-year certification from a college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Class A CDL preferred.
Ability to work alone, or in a team setting.
Must provide your own tools.Â
Weld/cut torch experience is preferred.
