Join our team today.Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Dispatch Supervisor.Responsibilities
Respond to routine internal and customer inquires on delivery times and the status of shipments and orders so that inquiries are dealt with promptly and accurately
Accurately trace lost or delayed shipments
Plan, direct, and monitor transport and distribution activities so that the organization's goods and materials are transported safely and cost-effectively and that they arrive at their destination on time and in good condition
Contact shipping agencies, transport companies, and customers to verify delivery prices and schedules
Responsible for all organization trucks and vehicles controlled by the distribution function
Liaise with area managers to coordinate transport and distribution schedules with their current and anticipated demand for goods and materials
Qualifications
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Effectively communicate verbally
Efficiently operate computers, tablets and mobile devices
Utilize postal and shipping/receiving systems
Effective use of standard hand tools (hammer, pliers, screwdriver, etc.)
Able to effectively operate a motor vehicle.
Experience with WMS is preferred
