Dental Assistant Duties
Great patients as they arrive for the dental treatment
Review, update medical history, patient insurance and billing information
Educate patient’s on recommended oral hygiene according to the dentist
Provides information to patients by answering dental treatment questions and concerns
Supports Dental Care by preparing patients for treatment and surgery
Assembles instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area, positioning instruments for dentist’s access, suctioning, and passing instruments
Provides diagnostic information by taking x-rays and documenting patient dental care by charting in patient charts
Maintains patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential by HIPPA guidelines
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and OSHA protocol
Qualifications for Dental Assistant
Graduate of an accredited school of Dental Assistant
Current CPR and OSHA certification
1 years of experience working in a dental practice
Excellent interpersonal and Computer Skills
Must have knowledge of Dental Software
