Job Description

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Performs routine sample prep and analyses in support of product assessment and quality control on tobacco products utilizing one or more of the following instruments: ICP-MS, ICP-OES, smoking machines, or other special purpose equipment and/or multiple wet chemistry techniques and physical testing techniques
- Documents results accurately in notebooks and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Performs instrument calibration, recognizes errors, identifies root causes, and applies process improvements
- Assists in updating SOP's as needed
- Provide analyses support to method validation as needed
- Adheres to highest quality standards; ensures compliance with quality system requirements
- Communicates effectively with client staff members
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science
- At least two years related laboratory experience
- GMP experience a plus
- Experience in the tobacco industry a plus
- Experience in regulated environment
