We’ve built our team of top professionals by rewarding their accomplishments and ensuring they have what's needed to succeed.The Wells Fargo Auto Line of Business within Wells Fargo Consumer Lending is seeking an experienced Analytic Consultant 4. This Consultant will have good understanding of data from both direct and indirect lines of Auto business and will prepare samples based on the requirements, which is a critical function for Self Assurance activity.Key duties and responsibilities of this position include:

Execute on build-out of SAS-based data environment. In consultation with peers and managers, execute on the framework established for the Data Store. Use SAS, SQL, and UNIX to query data.

Prepare population data for sampling. Engage with management, business SMEs, Data Governance, and Operational Risk contacts to capture & define complex business needs. Translate these disparate needs into technical specifications. Develop repeatable data retrieval processes in SAS/SQL and automate the process using SAS/Macros.

Maintain documentation. In accordance with the framework established ensure that all code, procedures, and packages are centrally documented, to include comments, diagrams, and written descriptions.

Integration of SAS sampling process with QA testing tools.

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Desired Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

6+ years of SAS programming experience

6+ years of SQL experience

Perl or Shell experience

Auto finance experience

Experience with major database engines including Oracle, SQL Server and DB2

Ability to translate and present complex technical data across technical and non-technical groups

Ability to gather business requirements and create technical solutions

Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
