Job Description - Director of Network Operations (2nd Shift)
Position Summary: The Operations Director provides leadership to the Operations team to ensure transactions are processed with the highest level of quality and in a timely manner. Qualifications Required:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or a minimum of 5-10 years practical work experience
- Should demonstrate a strong knowledge of clearing and settlement functions
- Relevant experience in Banking or Financial institutions
- Automation background on leading the effort across the organization
- Deep understand of IBM MQ, Web sphere and other middleware systems
- Monitoring tools and experience with APM
- Technological background with UNIX and Windows servers and application support experience
- Data center experience with working across multiple data centers
- Experience handling high priority incidents and providing support to various stakeholders
- Project Management experience with running various projects
- Experience managing technical teams and ability to problem-solve and provide solutions
- Strong operations background with firm knowledge of various trade processing, settlement, reporting and regulatory rules and regulations
- Must provide coverage for either day or night shift and be available to work weekends if needed
- Must have experience working in a Mainframe and Windows Distributed systems environment
- Formal training in network, computer or server technology
- Proven leadership in managing personnel
- Create and maintain formal operations and procedural documentation
- Banking systems background in a batch and or real-time
- Knowledge of Networking systems and managing Major Telco providers
- Working knowledge of standard computer software, including MS Excel, Office and Word
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing time-sensitive priorities
- Strong attention to detail to ensure firm policies and procedures are adhered to and regulatory requirements are met
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (must establish good rapport with internal and external customers)
- Knowledge of ACH, electronic funds transfer systems (CHIPS and Fedwire) and Image Exchange
- ACH Professional (AAP) certification
- Client experience
- Responsible for overseeing the management of bank settlements and cut-offs
- Ensure all incoming inquiries are responded to in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain schedules and critical time-tables
- Administer systems
- Perform desktop exercises with staff to maintain incident readiness
- Perform and or follow-up on root cause analysis when applicable
- Procedural documentation review & development
- Identify proactive solutions to reduce errors and customer issues
- Issue resolution and closure on internal issue tracking system
- Identify and pursue technology initiatives to reduce manual workload
- Supervise weekend testing when assigned
- Ability to implement procedures and policies for new business; coordinate and partner with internal business units
- Effectively handle system and staff concerns with proper escalation to appropriate subject matter experts and management
- Ensure the training and cross training of staff on all TCH application and systems
- Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned and new product launch operations support
- Manage night shift staff activities in North Carolina and remotely for New York
