This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic company in the medical device industry.The duration of the assignment is up to six months. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Perform and standardize assays to measure protein content in orthobiologic product candidates; utilize state-of-the-art methods for protein identification and quantification.Function independently to conduct in vitro assays needed to assess a range of orthobiologic product candidates.Help maintain laboratory facilities, including cell/tissue culture lab, and analytical equipment. Work with facility staff and other external vendors to ensure smooth laboratory operations.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:BS in biology, bioengineering, or similar related field in the biomedical sciences.At least 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience performing biological research.Competence with standard biological laboratory testing equipment and methods.Direct experience with protein, growth factor and cytokine analytical techniques (ELISA, PCR, Western blotting).Proficiency in cell culture of both primary cells and established cell lines is preferred.Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong self-motivation, an ability to work independently as well as part of a team are required.Volt is an equal opportunity employer.
