Growler USA Beertenders
As a Growler USA Beertender, you will be an advocate for the craft beverage community. We want a team that can
interact with our guests and help guide them to their perfect glass of beer. With 100 taps to choose from, a lot of
guests will require someone who loves and appreciates good beer to help guide them. Those who have extensive
beer knowledge will certainly have a leg up, but we are willing to train employees who are interested in learning.
Those already Cicerone certified prior to applying will be considered first.
As our ideal candidate, Beertenders have:
Minimum of 2+ years experience as a server or bartender
Ability to interact professionally with other employees and management
Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal
supervision
Excellent judgement and decision making abilities.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, high-energy, and physically demanding environment
Must be able to work nights and weekends
BEERTENDER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Beertender for Growler USA you are responsible for ensuring the guests have an
enjoyable experience. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creating the perfect guest experiences with friendly guest engagement
Fill growlers for take out
Ability to help guests in selecting menu items by gaining knowledge of the beer and food menu
Clean beer lines regularly and in between keg changes
Execute all opening, daily, weekly, and closing duties
Operate drawer and handle cash quickly and accurately

Maintain cleanliness in the bar and restaurant always
Clean and stock glassware quickly and properly
Must complete the Beer Server Cicerone Certification paid for by Growler USA

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Be physically able to work up to an eight (8) hour day while on your feet
Must be able to reach, bend, balance and carry large objects repeatedly throughout your shift.
Safely lift ten (10) to fifty (50) pounds
Have good communication, written, math, and organizational skills
Have a passion for the industry and the products we serve
