Individual will provide advanced systems adminstration of RHEL system.
Provides CentOS support.
Performs SECOND SHIFT system administration, troubleshooting, and solutioning on RHEL systems in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrates and uses scripting, programming and development skills to resolve issues, access/pull system data, and increase efficiencies in processing information and accomplishing system tasks.
Provides systems engineering support on large-scale systems, major system elements, and/or interfacing systems.
Applies reverse engineering and re-engineering disciplines to troubleshoot and plan strategic system integration and migration.
Supports system tests and analyzes testing results; required skills includes in-depth experience with installation, troubleshooting, analysis, design, repair, preventive maintenance, engineering, administration, and building and understanding of Linux/Unix servers, Oracle database, Apache, Perl/Shell Scripting, VMware, NetApp hardware and software, and IBM Tivoli Applications/Enterprise Management Applications.
QualificationsEducation and Experience Required
5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science -OR - in lieu of a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total).
Minimum 2 years expereince with the follwing technologies: RHEL6, RHEL7, CentOS, Solaris.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (EOD).
Preferred Requirements
Red Hat, Solaris orLPIC-1: Linux Administratorcertification
ITSM ITIL V3 certified
