T.A. Woods Company, a full scale mechanical contractor, is recruiting pipefitters and laborers for work in Jacksonville and Wilmington:
Primary Tasks:
Installation of piping systems inclusive of underground, mechanical rooms, in-wall, etc
Installation of equipment
Installation of hanger systems
Installation of valves
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years for pipefitters and one year for laborers
Understanding of piping systems including H/C water, process, etc
Experienced in new construction and renovation
Ability to work with various piping systems including cast, copper, aquatherm, etc
Ability to braze and solder
Ability to comprehend prints, specs, scope, drawings, etc
Effective communication skills
Understand and work by safe production standards
Follow company policies and procedures
Possess necessary hand and small power tools to complete tasks
For work at Camp Lejeune, fitters should have previous experience on military installations
Ability to gain access to projects including military installations and airports
