Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
At least five (5) years of accounting experience working with multiple funding sources, GAAP funds or enterprise funds.
Duties:
Maintenance or analysis of financial records
Interpret and analyze financial data
Establish and maintain financial journals, accounts, ledgers and records within an automated (ERP) financial system environment
Allocate revenues and expenses among funds
Reconcile accounts on a periodic basis to other accounting systems
Prepare financial statements, grant reports or other financial documents
Maintain and reconcile fixed assets or inventory records
Prepare schedules, tables, graphs and other exhibits for interim and final audit reports
Advise management on methods to improve accounting or other operational procedures
Develop and maintain automated financial systems including ERP interfaces
Apply cost allocation methodologies
Function as the primary Accountant for an Agency, Division, or Program
Have a full understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and a demonstrated ability to apply GAAP
Have knowledge of and demonstrated ability working with accounting systems or financial programs
