POSITION SUMMARY

Service Advisor/Writer works with customers to schedule service work and communicate any additional service needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Identifies RV problems and services by listening to customers description of symptoms

Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions

Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customers payment, including deductibles

Prepares repair orders (RO)

Handles customer complaints and maintains high customer satisfaction standards

Periodically checks on the progress of the vehicle during servicing and contacts the customer as needed to keep them up to date with their RVs status

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills

Solid communication skills

Ability to work flexible hours, as required is essential. Hours may include, evenings, and weekends

Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment

Ability to work independently as well as on a team

Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

License or Certifications: Valid Drivers License

Years of Experience: A minimum of one year RV service experience preferred.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED

Usual office equipment including computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculator

MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook

Company system applications; and Systems2K

Standard office software such as Explorer, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Other software as applicable

WORK ENVIRONMENT

(Service Advisors are exposed to the following conditions)

Slippery floors

Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and weather

May be exposed to solvents and chemicals

Other risks associated with working around machines, tools and RVs

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to organize various physical tasks through adjusting, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, or bending

Ability to climb ladders, bend or stand for long periods of time. In addition, individuals must be able to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
