The Business Strategy Analyst helps drive business performance by leveraging data to create impactful analysis and reporting. The analyst will work closely with merchandising, operations and marketing as a thought partner on a daily basis.
Aid in the development of financial models to help with forecasting and analyzing merchandising programs
Help analyze and interpret test results and provide financial recommendation and guidance
Transaction and Basket Analysis to better understand promotions
Product planning, distribution, and inventory management
Measures, tracks, and reports on the effectiveness of various programs and tests
Establish efficient data reports and processes to meet the needs of business partners; Create new reports as needed
Perform ad-hoc analyses and other job-related duties as required
Required Skills
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and excellent follow through
Ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear, consistent manner
Strong PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Detail oriented
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics or a related field
At least one year of experience in financial modeling, planning and/or analysis
General knowledge of retail or restaurant/grocery experience is a plus
