Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a

Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service

Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or

A pre-placement medical examination is required.

Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is

required for all positions with direct patient contact.

Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support

(BLS) Training and certification sponsored or endorsed by the

American Heart Association (AHA). Advanced certification (e.g.,

Advanced Life Support) does not supersede BLS completion.

Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements

and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical

privileges.

This position requires week night rotating call.

Moderate to heavy lifting up to 30 pounds is required.

Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The

incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time

and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

to full professional work in clinical psychology.In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for

this position you must also meet the qualification requirements

listed below:To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at

least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in

this job.Specialized experience is defined as for an adult treatment

population: performing bio-psychosocial evaluations, developing

behavioral health treatment plans, and providing psychological

counseling. This definition of specialized experience is typical of

work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal

service (GS-12).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the

required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet

the qualification requirement using experience aloneno

substitution of education for experience is permitted.Licensure Requirement: A current, active, valid, and

unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently

from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth,

territory, or jurisdiction is required.EducationFOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in

foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification

requirements, you must show the education credentials have been

evaluated by a private organization that specializes in

interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized,

subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an

agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government

This position is scheduled to transfer to the Defense Health

Agency (DHA) no later than 30 Sept 2021 in accordance with the

provisions of Section 702 of the National Defense Authorization

Act for Fiscal Year 2017, Public Law 114-328. The Act directed

the DHA to take responsibility for the administration (i.e.,

authority, direction, and control) of military treatment

facilities beginning 1 Oct 18. Employees will become DoD

employees upon transfer to the DHA.
