POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Human Resources Assistant works directly with the Human Resources Director and will perform all duties as requested by the Human Resources Director. The duties will be primarily for the Champion Hoist & Equipment Company location but will also include duties for the other locations. Complete confidentiality is required and expected. The duties that will be performed are listed below, and on-the-job training will be provided. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Successful applicant will be trained to assume HR Manager position for Champion Hoist & Equipment within 12 months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll processing

Clerical duties, such as creating files and filing documents

Train on confidentiality and privacy laws

Reconcile all 401(k) documents, such as matching check registers to requests for withdrawals or rollovers, in- service withdrawals, etc.

Reconcile 401(k) loans to reports in Paycom

Audit all company benefits invoices to Paycom and benefit forms

Audit all employee files and clip in documents

Read all benefits carrier contracts and note important details

Read employee handbook and be able to explain it

Train on how to pull reports in Paycom

Train on:

o How to do evaluations

o How to do write-ups

o How to do first report of injury

o How to do workers comp reporting to Travelers and follow-up

o OSHA recordkeeping

Open enrollment process

Review, correct, and process W4s and 1095s

Train on how to enter taxable fringe on payroll

Train on how to rollover benefits plans and update

Train on how to do new hire paperwork

Train on how to do benefits enrollment for newly-eligible employees

Train on how to terminate employees in Paycom and how to terminate benefits

Train on how to create and process the Exit Packet for newly-terminated employees

Train on COBRA processes

Train on Garnishment processes

Trian on 401(k) loans and deferrals and how to enter them into Paycom

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelors degree in Business Administration and/or Human Resources

2. Minimum two years experience in Human Resources

3. A combination of both will be considered.
