TheCEAprovides direct support for students with disabilities and training and educational resources to the University community as a whole.Department Home Page https://cea.uark.edu/Job Type StaffSummary of Job DutiesThe Test Center Manager is responsible for organizing and managing the test center operations, to include coordinating the administration of accommodated tests for students with disabilities on behalf of academic departments. The Test Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the provision of reasonable test accommodations to ensure equal educational access and opportunities, including but not limited to: readers, scribes, and assistive technology. This position is responsible for developing, interpreting, explaining and enforcingCEApolicies, procedures and rules concerning test accommodations to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. This position is responsible for offering assistance and suggestions in designing, planning, and implementing test accommodations to faculty and staff. This position is responsible for regularly communicating (in-person, over the phone, and via email) with students, faculty, and staff, as well as maintaining confidential and appropriate records by documenting communication with and regarding students. The Test Center Manager is responsible for supervising staff, which includes the responsibility to schedule, assign and review work, as well as establish work priorities.The Test Center Manager is responsible for gathering information and data, and formulating collected data into recommendations to develop new or revise existing program policies and procedures to increase test center efficiency. This position is responsible for forecasting needs for future semesters for budget preparation, including but not limited to, staffing, technology, assistive software, and overflow testing space. The Test Center Manager is responsible for conducting workshops and developing initiatives for test center staff, students with disabilities, and faculty to promote diversity and inclusion, student access, career advancement, University policies, and state and federal regulations regarding implementation of reasonable test accommodation(s). The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a major in sociology, public administration, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education

At least two years of experience in program administration or related area

Proficient in the use of standard office equipment and broad technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Applications, Adobe Acrobat, and assistive software/technology

Ability to coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience

Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with a diverse population

Ability to train and monitor/assess the performance of others to make improvements or take corrective action

Ability to efficiently manage multiple competing priorities/tasks, while meeting deadlines with accuracy and constant interruptions

Ability to think critically and logically to identify recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
