Job Description:

Responsible for developing and delivering software to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional and non-functional requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and is aware of the development practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Understands and utilizes basic architecture components in solution development. Codes solution and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria. Executes automated test suites (integration, regression, performance); collects results and flags issues. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Adheres to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release. Individual contributor.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual contributor who will be responsible for developing and delivering software to accomplish business goals. The selected candidate should have hands-on Java/Java Script programming background and an excitement for solving complex problems. Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional/non-functional requirements, coding solutions, and unit testing. These individuals in this role are aware of the development practices of the bank.

About the Organization

Enterprise Credit Risk (ECR) technology organization supports ECR business organization and ECR business is responsible for managing credit risk originating across all of Bank's LOB's, i.e. retail, wholesale, banking, GWIM, Markets. The ECR Technology organization manages several applications in support of various ECR business processes such as:

  • Credit Risk Concentration Management
  • Asset Quality Reporting
  • Credit Risk Policies and Procedures
  • Default Identification
  • Allowance Reporting
  • Valuation Services
  • Risk Ratings across Counterparties, Facilities, Countries & Industries

In support of these business processes and functions we operate 18 applications across 600 servers. We provide 25,000 monthly reports and self-serve reporting with 56 upstream authorized data sources and 66 downstream applications. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, unit test the solution to deliver a requirement /story per the defined acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements
  • Participate in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Understand and utilize basic architecture components in solution development
  • Execute automated test suites (integration, regression, performance); collect results and flag issues
  • Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality
  • Adhere to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release

Required Skills:
  • Java Development : 3+ years of experience - Core Java, J2EE-Spring 5, Hibernate, REST services
  • Working in WebLogic server, performance tuning, ETL processes, Windows and Linux environments
  • RDBMS Experience : Querying and PL/SQL experience in multiple database platforms is preferred: Oracle, SQL Server
  • JavaScript programming experience preferred - CSS, REACT, Angular 5, NodeJS
  • Experience in Object-oriented programming and Agile Development Methodology

Desired Skills:
  • GraphQL, Selenium/Cucumber
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, GIT/Bitbucket
  • Openshift, Kubernetes, Containers Web Services, Micro services
  • Reporting - MicroStrategy, Tableau
  • B.S or M.S in Information technology /Computer Science
