OVERVIEW

We are seeking two individuals to be hired on to our production and roasting team. Interested candidates will be responsible for converting roasted coffee into a packaged product. There is opportunity for a roasting position as well- coffee roasting involves the conversion of green (or raw) coffee into a soluble form through the application of heat transfer via a drum roaster. No previous roasting experience is required. We want individuals that are self-manageable with an open mind and an appetite to learn.

SPECIFICATIONS - Production

Check wholesale and retail website & communicate production needs with roaster

Accurately prep, assemble, fulfill, and deliver or ship orders

Organize coffee based on origin/blend

Ensure that every product that leaves the shop meets the companys standard

Help foster a positive and inviting workspace

Actively contribute ideas and/or systems to help the growth of the company

Be self-manageable and a problem solver

Take ownership in your work

Complete all side work before the end of a shift

Be organized and have efficient work flow

Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted

SPECIFICATIONS- Roasting

Understand the mechanics and procedures for operating a drum roaster

Utilize best practices when preparing the machine to begin a roasting shift

Have a firm understanding of Cropster and and how data is derived

Communicate daily coffee needs with production staff

Learn to interpret bean and ROR curves and how they should look

Understand roast defects and how to mitigate them

Ensure they every batch meets Hatchets roasting philosophy

Setup weekly cuppings for QC purposes

Hour of Operation-

M-F, 9am-5pm- These hours are flexible
