A growing law firm with offices in North and South Carolina, focusing in the areas of Family Law, Estate Planning, Criminal Law, and Civil Litigation, is seeking a Case Manager to join our team in the Waynesville, North Carolina office.
The ultimate goal of the Case Manager is to optimize the client experience and manage the client/firm relationship from start to finish. This is accomplished by communicating with clients about questions/concerns/case updates and handling the administrative aspects of case management (scheduling court dates, hearings, attorney/client meetings, document management). Fundamental office management aptitude is a must.
The successful Case Manager is able to multi-task and prioritize. Knowing when to handle case aspects in a hands-on, direct, autonomous fashion is key, as is the know-how for when to escalate to an attorney or leadership staff member. Sound judgement and a positive attitude are imperative to the position.
This position is intended to support both internal relationships (attorneys, staff, partners) and external relationships (billable clients). Intimate knowledge (or ability and willingness to learn) of Clio and other software is required; entering time entries for billable time is essential to the position.
Responsibilities:
Learn and efficiently use all software: Clio, Quickbooks, Infusionsoft
Capture all time worked
Managing attorney calendar appointments
Setting tasks
Completing tasks (including client follow-up)
Punctuality and Attendance
Trial Notebook Preparation
Verification of Court Appearances
Newly-retained Client Meetings
Draft Pleadings, Notices and Certificate of Services
Draft Opinion Letters
Draft Basic Trial Briefs
Keep attorney tasked all-day
Draft Proposed Orders
Schedule and Lead a Weekly Case Review
Communicate with every client
Attend Case Management Meetings
Attend Case Management Calls
Mail - Address all incoming and out mail appropriately
Payments - Accepting, processing and depositing client payments
Ability to manage several projects/tasks simultaneously
Completing tasks with a sense of urgency/Prioritizing
