The Vault in downtown Asheville is now taking applications for a Kitchen Manager.
Position Summary:
As a Kitchen Manager you will oversee all Back of House operations and be responsible for purchasing, receiving, preparing, and presenting all food products according to our set recipes as well as procedures.
Essential Functions:
Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with recipes and procedures.
Directing productivity to monitor and maintain food item ticket times
Managing performance of employees.
Conducting Line checks as part of overall responsibility for inventory and safety in the kitchen
Overseeing the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures
Managing food costs and tracking waste
Directing work for kitchen employees
Training Back of House staff on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff
Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends and some holidays
Additional Responsibilities:
Assumes other duties as assigned by company management.
Training and Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant management experience
Must be able to provide proof of valid authorization to work in the United States
Excellent communication skills
Must be at least 21 years of age
Competencies and Physical Demands:
Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe
Must be able to safely lift and easily maneuver boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
Frequent washing of hands
