Highlands Burritos Teammate
Position summary:
The HB Teammate Prepares and Serves food to our valued customers, shares cleaning and organizing responsibilities throughout the entire restaurant, and maintains food safety and sanitation standards, all while working in a team-oriented, upbeat, casual, and professional environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Helpful and Customer Focused approach in greeting and preparing food orders for guests.
Must know and be able to describe menu ingredients to help guests with their orders.
Must be able to work each assigned station of the meal creation and checkout line.
Able to take and make orders correctly for in-person orders, orders by phone, and via online ordering system.
Able to use Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill. Collects payment from guests and makes change.
Checks and restock ingredients and restocks items as needed throughout the shift.
Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
Cleans and maintains all areas of the restaurant.
Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards per health safety requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Age: Must be at least 16 years of age
Education: Some high school or equivalent.
Experience & skills:
Previous experience preferred.
Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.
Physical:
Must be able to work any area of the restaurant as needed.
Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday.
Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
