Commissary/Catering Chef - Full Time, $36,000+ salary depending on experience
Location: Westgate

Green Sage is seeking a salaried Commissary /Catering Chef to manage and oversee our Commissary/Catering departments in the Westgate Shopping Center and to assist in recipe and menu creation.
We are seeking a hardworking, dependable individual to manage commissary operations including ordering, scheduling, food prep, managing a small staff, packaging and delivery to all four Green Sage restaurants. The Commissary/Catering Chef will also be responsible for coordinating our catering functions to include scheduling events, creating food, ensuring quality, and working within budget goals. Hours are between the hours of 6am-8pm so no late nights required. The Commissary/Catering Chef can expect to work an average of 45-50 hours per week. Opportunity for growth within the company.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of our Commissary production and quality control
Ensure recipes are followed and orders are fulfilled for all four restaurants
Supervise and schedule Commissary and Bakery staff
Coordinates catering events
Works with store to assist in catering production
Trains new staff members
Maintains the budget for purchasing and scheduling
Oversee product purchasing, deliveries, and maintenance of company delivery van
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing organization policies and procedures
Assisting the Home Office with recipe and menu creation
Skills:
Must have a minimum of 2 years of kitchen management, catering, and chef experience including designing own recipes (experience in plant-based and healthy creations strongly preferred)
Must be ServSafe Certified
Exhibit leadership and foster teamwork
Show initiative and demonstrate adequate communication skills
Familiar with software programs like Excel and willing to learn new software programs for scheduling and costing
Ability to work on your feet for six hours or more a day
Must be able to lift 50 lbs periodically
