Supervisor Speech Therapy

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking a Supervisor for our Speech Therapist team.Role Summary: Supervises both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation components. Coordinates treatment and provides therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions that are consistent with the discipline's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. Ensures continuous improvement in therapy services and patient experience. Works collaboratively with clinical and other departments to ensure timely and appropriate care for patients. Holds staff accountable for meeting policies and standards of operations; coaches staff appropriately for improved performance. Demonstrates stewardship in regard to financial resources. Develops and grows the staff, establishing sound relationships with physicians, clinicians, nurses, and other key stakeholders to accomplish service line goals.Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), or related field.Preferred Education: Master's or advanced clinical degree, Business, or Healthcare AdministrationRequired License: Current NC license to practice in Speech PathologyRequired Experience: 2 years of clinical practice. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, internet, MS Office. Demonstrated ability to manage clinical operations, business and financial planning, and quality improvement projects. Leads and develops staff members.
