Procedural Medical Cardiology Stepdown - Post-Procedural - 3 HeartRegistered Nurse – Post-Procedural - PRNProcedural Medical Cardiology Stepdown ("3 Heart") at Mission Hospital - is a 15-bed Cardiology unit specializing in the care of post-procedural patients who have had procedures in the Cath Lab or EP Lab. Nurses working on this unit pull sheaths, recover patients with TR Bands, administer a variety of drips for rhythm disturbances, and care for post-device placement patients.For nurses who have solid experience working with patients on tele, who enjoy working with the cardiac patient population, and who would like to learn more about the care of procedural patients with a goal of working toward a career in procedural nursing, this unit can offer a great step in that direction.Are you a ready to step up your nursing game? Apply today!Registered Nurse at Mission Hospital:Role Summary: Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Council approval.Required License or Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.Preferred License or Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty.Required Experience: At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital setting.
