Job Description:The Network Engineer will use and apply their experience and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of routing and switching technologies for external customers seeking network steady state engineering support. You will work directly with the customer and build trust with stakeholders. You will work closely with our client and Customer Operations, project management, and engineering teams to ensure the customers’ requirements are met.Major Responsibilities include:Create client solutions based on business requirements involving advanced data networksSupport standard and custom solution development initiatives and network management device and application certification for Managed Services solutions and clientsCollaborate with Engineering and various client and external delivery and support teams to manage the implementation of client projectsImplement and support solutions involving WAN and LAN technologiesOversee customer network documentation such as solution design document, record of change, and network diagramsAct as an escalation point, providing 4th level incident support for customersProtect our client’s customer proprietary network information and our client’s information assetsYou'll need to have:Bachelors degree or five or more years of work experience.Three or more years of relevant work experience as a network engineer with experience implementing and configuring complex enterprise networksEven better if you have:Cisco Meraki CMNA/CCNP/CCDP/CCDA/ certification or equivalent practical knowledgePossess in-depth Cisco knowledge with MPLS network architecture and design disciplines, operational support familiarity, previous and current extensive hands-on implementation and thorough configuration knowledge and capabilities for all platform levels.Have very strong customer interfacing background, as well as superior oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to create technical documentationIn-depth knowledge of all routing protocols (For example: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GLBP, VRF, DMVPN), Traffic engineering, L2/L3 VPN, multicast & class of serviceStrong understanding and familiarity with router AND LAN switchDisciplined and oriented in practice of and adherence to process and procedures.Ability to research technical issues and develop solutionsStrong attention to detailExcellent written and verbal skillsGood organizational skillsMust be achievement orientatedPossess problem solving skills including conceptual and analytical thinkingPossess ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsVEVRAA Federal ContractorWe request Priority Protected Veteran & Disabled Referrals for all of our locations within the state.We are an equal opportunity employer.
