National Fuel is currently seeking a Field Operator for an outstanding career opportunity in our Operations department at our East Fork Station located in Austin, PA. As a member of the National Fuel team, you will enjoy an exciting and challenging work environment where top performance is recognized and rewarded.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a proven track record of good attendance, and committed to work place safety. The typical work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM 4:30 PM and could include some overtime. Candidates must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record and the ability to drive a small company truck or van. Applicants must live within a 20 mile radius of the East Fork Station located at 130 National Fuel Gas Drive Austin, PA 16720 or be willing to relocate.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operation, maintenance, and routine repairs to gas compressor stations and natural gas power engines
Recording pressures, flows, and temperatures
Identify and react to abnormal operation conditions in engine and pipeline facilities.
Operate gas dehydration systems, odorizers, radios, flow controllers, and pressure regulation equipment.
Other varied gas field activities including storage well operations and maintenance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license
Comfortable working in and around high pressure pipeline facilities, large engines, and gas compressors
Excellent customer service/communication skills
Basic literacy is required. Ability to read, legibly prepare written documentation and have the ability to accurately interpret and analyze written information
Basic computer skills needed
The physical capability to work outdoors in all types of weather and the ability to work in and around hazards and difficult to reach areas
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of pneumatic and electrical equipment.
Ability to read flow schematics and isometric drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude
Self-motivated

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This is a position within the Companys collective bargaining unit with an hourly rate of pay of $19.86.
