Job Description

Product Innovation Summer Intern Program

  • Lead efforts to evaluate, design, and develop web applications.
  • Utilize various technology platforms to complete proof of concept development programming languages are flexible but justification for language chosen must be communicated.
  • Evaluate existing designs, software, interfaces, etc. and be able provide feedback to product owners.
  • Make justifications for all market and product decisions – must be prepared to build market justification documentation and PowerPoint presentations to support all analysis and development completed.
  • Prepare technical documentation and specifications for any developed software.
  • Approach all problems with a balanced approach to business value, usability, and technical feasibility.
  • Be able to independently learn, use, and understand our products.
  • Provide feedback on product functionality and potential enhancements based on interactions with the products.
  • Document and maintain records within Confluence.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Related data structures, algorithms, database and/or web development coursework required, past experience in such areas preferred.
  • Past work in machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, web scrapping, full-stack development, a combination of, or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency in at least (1) programming language required, multiple language proficiency preferred.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills to meet demanding deadlines and prioritize workload/make adjustment to meet business needs.
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent required.
  • Understand that communication is key.
  • Must be dedicated, able to multi-task, and handle stress with ease and not get flustered or easily frustrated while maintaining a strong work ethic.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of products, MS Office and content management platforms preferred but not required.
