Growing Syracuse area Construction Equipment rental Company is seeking road mechanics for full time position. We offer competitive wages, Time and a half over 40 hrs. On-call incentives, full benefit plan including health, dental, 401K, life insurance, full uniform service and paid time off. Applicants would be required to have their own tools, and pay is dependent upon experience. Experience in hydraulics, electrical, diesel and or construction equipment is helpful but not specifically required.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and tag returned rental equipment, noting any damage or other necessary repairs
Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary repairs ; ensure equipment is properly repaired on a timely basis
Perform complete inspections of equipment and report issues with repairs to Service Manager
Complete all required paperwork on a timely basis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the service repair industry, preferably repairing construction (heavy) equipment
Knowledge of gas engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
Comfortable working in a fast paced, high pressure environment with a high level of complexity
