Job Description:
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, corresponds with purchasing to rectify. Routes items to departments. Prepares outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications, includes creating and affixing shipping labels.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Contacts carriers to schedule pick-ups. Enters received materials in Jobboss computer system, issues CT#'s, verifies certifications as needed for quality, enters certs in computer system, maintains receiving log.
Creates Packing Slip from Jobboss system for outside service shipments include drawing when applicable and misc packers for Florida shipments.
Assists with physical inventory. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, packing slip or other records.
