Established manufacturer with a fleet of 30 vehicles has an opening for an Automotive Mechanic Assistant. This position will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on all company vehicles. Must be a self starter with the ability to work independently. Will work under the direction of the Fleet Manager.
Primary duties include:
-Preventative Maintenance
-Mount and balance tires
-Vehicle diagnosis
-Engine repair
-Oil Changes
-Assist with maintenance of other machinery and equipment
Job Requirements:
-Job related experience or equivalent certification
-Knowledge of GM vehicles
-Ability to lift up to 100lbs
-Ability to use a vehicle lift
-Clean and valid NYS Driver License
-BOCES Auto Technology Certificate helpful
-2-3 years experience preferred
Full-time position with a benefits package. Compensation is an hourly rate based on experience.
This position is Monday through Friday, day shift, additional hours may be assigned.
