Our vast variety of patients allows you to develop your critical thinking skills and increase confidence in the care you provide.Provides professional nursing care to patients/families and the community. Accomplishes this by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care and supervising the work of the licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff and students assigned to the unit.Minimum Qualifications:Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Candidates with less than one year of post licensure acute care nursing experience who possess a license or eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS will be considered for appointment to a Nurse 1 positionPreferred Qualifications:Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. 6-12 months of RN experience preferred for this position, however, new-to-practice nurses will also be considered. This position actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.Work Days:Full-time (40 hours a week) Eve/Nights. Weekend and holiday rotation as required by bargaining agreementsSalary Range/Pay Rate:Commensurate with Qualifications, based on acute care experience.
