Partyman Catering & Rental is an off premise, high volume, full service catering company that is family owned and operated. We have been in business for over 15 years and pride ourselves on the product and services we provide.

We are looking to fill a Seasonal Banquet Chef / Prep Chef position.

Job Objective

Work under the supervision of the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef and are responsible for food preparation, planning, and kitchen supervision. To maintain the kitchen clean and sanitized, check finished products before they are delivered to customers, developing new menus and assessing customer satisfaction.

Primary duties and responsibilities

Prepare all menu items and accurately follow all recipes.

Review daily prep sheets and plan out daily objectives.

Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow team members.

Offer support and ideas to creating and executing new menu items.

Be a representative of Partyman Catering & Rental at events and execute all food operations at said events, as well as assist lead servers and servers with ensuring all event duties performed to Partyman Catering & Rental standards.

Review all banquet event orders to ensure all menu items and setups are prepared accurately and correctly.

Assist in providing training for new team members.

Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils and equipment.

Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.

Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.

Knowledge or and accuracy with measurement conversions and food portion control.

Assist in control of inventory and supplies.

Perform all other duties as required, including dishwashing.

Schedule Requirements

Schedule may fluctuate seasonally and based on event bookings.

Weekend availability is a must.

Full time hours during May-November in "peak season" with a goal 40 hours.

Off peak season December - Hours will vary depending on event bookings.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.

Minimum of 2 years experience in a high volume food operation.

All applicants must have a positive attitude, high energy, great people skills, motivation, ambition and willingness to work as part of a team. Flexible availability required. Weekend availability required. Must have reliable transportation. Compensation determined by experience and ambition level.
