Wayne, INJob Description:Responsibilities include the functional management of an Electrical Engineering department focusing on Digital Circuit Card design across the Space and Intelligence segment.The Digital Circuit Card Engineering Manager is responsible for leading approximately 100 Electrical Engineers that support the Harris Space and Intelligence Segment. This includes supervision and leading of the Engineering organization including planning, development, and execution of all Engineering tasking on projects, pursuits, and programs. The Engineering Manager will also provide coaching and leadership development for a staff of Group Leaders.
Be accountable for Digital Circuit Card performance across the Space and Intelligence segment, and own the design and development process (including tools and process flows) for Digital Circuit Card designs
Drive engineering productivity performance, improvements, and measures, and implement enduring corrective actions for design escapes
Meet functional requirements of staffing, recruiting, training, talent development, engagement, retention, and overall management of Digital Circuit Card design
Proactively collaborate with Engineering Managers across Electrical Engineering to support business demands across the Space and Intelligence segment
Meet functional organization Annual Operating Plan direct labor revenue targets
Hold weekly one on one meetings with direct staff to build relationships and provide feedback and coaching.
Perform risk assessments on programs within the Space and Intelligence segment
Support pursuits and proposals in the business, including review/approval of technical proposals and Basis of Estimates as needed.
Provide technical evaluation and oversight of program execution. Lead technical issue resolution when required. Participate and form Independent Review Teams to conduct technical review and oversight.
Lead department-level talent development, including technical and leadership succession planning, and implement knowledge transfer initiatives
Manage department budgets and identify department training required
Travel will be required. This department will have employees across various Space and Intelligence locations, including CO, FL, IN, NY & NJ
This position reports to the Sr Director of Electrical Engineering for Space and Intelligence
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and 12+ years of relevant experience, OR, Master’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
Subject Matter Expertise in high-speed Digital Circuit Card design Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Digital CCA design tools and technologies.
Experience and background in high-speed signal analysis/simulation and design techniques
Working knowledge of high-reliability and radiation-hardening design techniques
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading/managing Electrical Engineers or Engineering designs
Preferred:
Active TS/SCI or TS-Equivalent preferred but not a requirement
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus
Ability to deliver and sustain measurable results
Ability to coach, mentor and build relationships with external organizations

Ability to clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas, including strong executive communication and presentation skills
