Joining us means joining a truly global community of 36 300 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.Role Summary / PurposeAlstom has an opening for a Methods & Tools (M&T) Manager.Responsibilities:The Methods and Tools Manager plans and executes a range of complex process improvement activities encompassing one or more functional disciplines. The M&T will manage projects of substantial impact including stabilization of the current environment, along with the optimization of available systems and tools to improve overall performance and operations, and provides recommendations based on analysis. This position develops a project plan after analysis and drives the project to completion.Job Summary

Perform process analysis to solve complex business problems or inefficiencies to achieve desired results, including the analysis of business and user needs and translation into a viable solution. This will be accomplished through clear understanding of business and financial requirements of projects, development and communication of plans and implementation of associated activities.

Proactively develop and implement measures to monitor and control performance of implemented solution.

May work independently or be responsible for leading a team using influence and relationships to foster a sense of urgency and ownership by the team.

Ensure efficient implementation/deployment of internal processes, tools, or applications within Alstom North America. This may require becoming a subject matter expert for the various systems and/or tools utilized by the business.

Establish and maintain a healthy relationship with the M&T corporate team and support internal M&T dashboard updates and communications to key stakeholders; including tracking and reporting of necessary KPIs.

Contribute to yearly Process Reviews to help define action and improvement plans.

Specify Business Model Requirements for the business (when there is some specific activities) and participate in the validation of the corresponding Information Systems Core Model for the business (based on the specified Business Model requirements)

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, master’s degree preferred

5+ years' work experience in process improvement, project management, Six Sigma, or related field

Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions

Experience identifying issues and recommending/implementing short & long term strategies for resolution

Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team

Ability to influence without authority within cross-functional teams and at various levels of management Additional Qualifications

Experience with tools development and deployment

Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality certification

Willing to travel up to 10% of time for business purposes

Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks

Ability to anticipate events and develop adaptive strategies / remedies

Strong skills in stakeholder relationship building, facilitation, and matrix management

Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team / organization

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Microsoft suite proficiency
