Description: Coats surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using spray gun. May select and mixes coating material; coat areas inaccessible to hand sprayer using brush or roller. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.The Locale: Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse New York. Owego sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the "Southern Tier" section of New York State. The region is home to Binghamton University and Cornell University. Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia are all within a few hours’ drive from Owego. Owego is one of the “Coolest Small Towns” according to a contest that is running on www.budgettravel.com.Basic Qualifications:To be qualified and successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: Experience with brush and spray application of paints and primers Experience with paint prep to include; cleaning, masking and other prep items Must be able to work in a team and individual environment Must be able to train on 1st shift for approximately 3-6 months before moving to this 2nd shift role Must be able to obtain necessary painting process certifications as required Must be able to adhere to PPE requirements and guidelines; medical screenings, respirators, and any other necessary protocol.
